Whatever you do, do not be tempted by offers such as half price cylinder vacuums and steam glide irons at Robert Dyas They would not be well received and you could end up getting a pair of curtains for Mum's living room for your next birthday present. This actually happened to a friend of mine.
Lastly
Breakfast in bed and a handmade card cost nothing but will mean a lot more to Mum than most presents.
