>>Back to uni deal special: Tesco Telecoms reports 71% surge in Pay as You Go mobile broadband deals
• Students driving surge in uptake of mobile broadband
• Retailer launches back to uni market beating deals
As record numbers of students head to university this September, Tesco has seen its sales of pay as you go mobile broadband deals increase by a huge 71%.
With laptop dongles available for less than £20, many students are opting for PAYG mobile broadband instead of taking out a contract, which avoids the need to install a landline as well as those monthly squabbles over who’s paying the direct debit!
Top deals on a host of dongle packages from leading networks mean students can take the internet with them wherever they go. Dongles can be used with PC’s laptops, Netbooks and Macs allowing students to work anytime, anywhere - on the bus or even down the pub! And with great offers on mobile top ups too, there’s now no excuse not to call the parents.
Free HP laptop and Nokia mobile with mobile broadband contracts!
And it’s not just PAYG deals that are flying off the shelf. With Tesco Contract Phones, students can pick up a free HP laptop and a Nokia 6303 for just £29.36 per month with the Vodafone Anytime 700 plan. The 24 month contract includes 700 minutes* free talk time, 250 texts and unlimited landline minutes – proving it pays to do your homework!
Tesco’s back to uni products are available in 70 stores nationwide or online at: www.tesco.com and include:
* 3 Dongle - Was £29.99, Now £19.99
* 3 £39.99 Starter Pack - includes £15 Top Up
* Vodafone Dongle £34.99 (New Low Price) - includes £15 Top Up
* T-Mobile Dongle £19.56 - Buy one day's usage at £2 and Get 30 days for Free
* O2 Dongle £14.68 - includes Free Wi-Fi on the "Cloud" hotspots - wherever you see the BT Openzone logo, the dongle will divert to Wi-Fi and connect you for free, saving your top-up for when you're not in a Wi-Fi area

>>Current www.tesco.com bonus points offer
Current Highest Profit Deal
It's possible to buy Lanvin Oxygen 30Ml aftershave for £8 and gain 500 bonus points making 508 points in total. Unusually the points are such a high proportionate of the product price, you can make a profit on double-up vouchers alone as you can get £10.16 worth - so even if you don't want the aftershave, you could trade the points for wine or cosmetics.
Yet trade up on Rewards vouchers and it's worth a mammoth £20.32 meaning you're £12.32 in profit, a stunning amount.
