Ann says (26th November 2009): >>Hi This is mainly for Welsh bargainhunters or regular visitors to wales. CADW - the welsh equivalent of English Heritage have a long term deal. All their packages are available to purchase in full with TESCO rewards so a joint adult membership of £52 (£57 for a family) costs £12.50 in vouchers+£2 in cash. If it is a gift they get 15 months for the price of 12. If the person giving the gift is a member they get an extra 3 months free. All children, 5-16, who live in Wales, gets free entry to all CADW properties by filling in the form on the website and submitting it. It gets better. All CADW members get half-price into English Heritage properties AND if you renew for a second year, you get FREE entry into English Heritage. There is also 10% discount on products in the shops.It doesn't seem to be reciprecated from English heritage though! Great for a cheap trip out to let the kids enjoy the castles. Regards Ann |
