>>Hi there. Dont know if your aware of this tip but I thought id let you know about this fantastic new iphone app. Its called vouchercloud and is available for FREE from the apple app store. Its free to join and works like this.
Due to the iphones built in GPS it locates where you are and shows all the shops, restaurants, gyms etc nearest to your position and displays the relevant voucher. No more deciding where you want to eat before you go shopping now just use this, find your voucher and then show the voucher on the phone in store. Simple!. Hope you can use this.

>>Nectar have an offer on at the moment where when you buy an O2 PAYG Mobile Broadband Dongle via their website, you receive 3,750 Nectar points! However, O2 also have a special offer this weekend where the Dongle only costs £10 this weekend.
So basically a £10 spend will return points equivalent to an £18.75 spend in either Argos or Sainsbury's - a PROFIT of £8.75 and as a bonus, a PAYG Mobile Broadband Dongle!

>>Nintendo DS - a favourite with many. www.thehut.com are offering a new game to be released on 4 December, but you can pre-order. It is Touchmaster 3 - their price is £14.73 free P&P. This is the cheapest I could find on the internet. Other sites are offering it for not less than £17-19. I have the other two Touchmaster games and cannot wait until the new one is released. I have secured mine. Hope this helps Nintendo DS addicts.

This was in reply to my alert about the Sim only vodafone deal http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/sim-only-plans/all-sim-plans - 600 minutes and unlimted texts for £15 per month.
Jo Says:-
thanks for this - I'm already with Vodafone on a monthly contract and just
called them . . . . they are sneaky b*****s!! they won't offer you this as
they say its a 'promo'!!
You can kinda get round it though - they can reduce your plan down a level
each month. So my monthly amount has dropped by £5 and I'm getting more for
my money. If I call back again next month they will reduce it again . . .
all bit c***, but I am saving some money and getting more!
so - thanks again
Jo

Jayne Stala says (10th September 2009):
>>Back to uni deal special: Tesco Telecoms reports 71% surge in Pay as You Go mobile broadband deals
• Students driving surge in uptake of mobile broadband
• Retailer launches back to uni market beating deals
As record numbers of students head to university this September, Tesco has seen its sales of pay as you go mobile broadband deals increase by a huge 71%.
With laptop dongles available for less than £20, many students are opting for PAYG mobile broadband instead of taking out a contract, which avoids the need to install a landline as well as those monthly squabbles over who’s paying the direct debit!
Top deals on a host of dongle packages from leading networks mean students can take the internet with them wherever they go. Dongles can be used with PC’s laptops, Netbooks and Macs allowing students to work anytime, anywhere - on the bus or even down the pub! And with great offers on mobile top ups too, there’s now no excuse not to call the parents.
Free HP laptop and Nokia mobile with mobile broadband contracts!
And it’s not just PAYG deals that are flying off the shelf. With Tesco Contract Phones, students can pick up a free HP laptop and a Nokia 6303 for just £29.36 per month with the Vodafone Anytime 700 plan. The 24 month contract includes 700 minutes* free talk time, 250 texts and unlimited landline minutes – proving it pays to do your homework!
Tesco’s back to uni products are available in 70 stores nationwide or online at: www.tesco.com and include:
* 3 Dongle - Was £29.99, Now £19.99
* 3 £39.99 Starter Pack - includes £15 Top Up
* Vodafone Dongle £34.99 (New Low Price) - includes £15 Top Up
* T-Mobile Dongle £19.56 - Buy one day's usage at £2 and Get 30 days for Free
* O2 Dongle £14.68 - includes Free Wi-Fi on the "Cloud" hotspots - wherever you see the BT Openzone logo, the dongle will divert to Wi-Fi and connect you for free, saving your top-up for when you're not in a Wi-Fi area

***Jeanie Says***
Hi Viv
I have removed the link you submitted with this tip because I have come across this website before. I want to make sure that you and anyone else who reads the tip is aware of the Redsave Terms & Conditions. The excellent prices you have mentioned are on the condition that you purchase a monthly pass which will cost you £19.95 per month. You do get a 30 day free trial but you have to cancel the subscription to stop the payment. That taken into consideration you may not find the prices so attractive. I am not commenting.

>>Just thought I would let you know, on checking my talk talk telephone bill I noticed they had put one of the charges up by £1.00 per month which brought the caller display charge upto £2.50 per month so I rang to complain that they hadnt even informed me that they were going to do that, so they have now given it me free of charge forever when I asked them why they said that if customers complain about it they are offering it free of charge, just thought I would let you know and you can share it with everyone.

Andy says (22nd April 2009):
>>I recently had cause to call the USA.I wasn't sure who to use.So,I did a quick search online.I came across callhappy.co.uk who do call's for 1p a minute from a BT phone.As I use Virgin I needed to dial 1280 to get back to BT as the carrier.Then dial callhappy.co.uk on an 0844 number then your International number when directed.I just got my bill in and sure enough I was charged 1p a minute.Can you do better.I'm always wary of 0844 numbers as these can be charged 1-5p but callhappy are true to their word.

A-M says (19th August 2008):
>>I researched your top tip about 'Be Broadband' as it sounded good. They very honestly told me that all their call centres are in Bulgaria. This would put me off but I thought I should let you know so that you can make your own judgements. I have had very negative experiences with several off-shore call centres. Perhaps we could start a list on MAB of companies that still DO have British call centres?
***Jeanie Says***
Hi - I did not know that but in the couple of years I have been with www.bethere.co.uk I have never had to call them. I think the service may have been off once or twice but it was only for a very short time and very late at night, so it has never been a problem.

>>Hi,
Have been a customer of Be for over a year and I am very impressed. Equally used their call centre for help on the router ID etc. and they were very helpful. Much better line than I get with the banking centres in India. www.bethere.co.uk
