>>Following your recent tip on BT I am on Virgin and have Broadband and telephone services for £20 per month with free calls at Weekends to 01 and 02 numbers.I Telephoned to say that BT asked me to go with them and matched Virgin's price with free calls 27/7 for 01 and 02.(bending the truth!) They said that they would match it, put me on the special rate for mobile and international calls for £19.95!!
How's that for a bargain!!

>>I have known about a site for a while now that I think everyone in the UK should use!
Hopefully it will stop companies using 0870 numbers!!!
www.saynoto0870.com
Go to the site with your 0870 number and then search for the local number of the company, and generally it has 95% of the UK companies on there and you can then ring at the national rate if you have a special rate deal with your phone provider.
good luck!

>>As Chrissi says this is indeed an excellent site for alternative numbers to 0870, 0845 numbers etc. If you don't find a number match straight away, try typing in the company name instead, I have found slightly different 0870/0845 numbers listed that do offer alternative numbers. If that fails don't give up click on the 'List Unverified Entries' button, I have used several numbers from this list successfully and you save a fortune. Good luck! Sally
