Jeanette says (7th November 2007): >>I have had loads of calls today from 0845 6853000, it is a scam as you can see from below it will cost you £2.50 per minite if you except them, so heres what has been said about them. "Got an automated call three times in quick succession today "you have received a reverse charge call, press X to accept the call", no details of who it was from, their number or how much it would cost. Looking up the call costs it seems like accepting it costs a min. of 2.50. Is this a new scam to extract money from your phone account." So if you want to stop these calls you can try registering with TPS on 0800 398893. The TPS is the Telephone Preference Service and you can also register online at www.tpsonline.org.uk |

Bev says (19th June 2008): >>hi we have been with tps for about 12 months now.and we do not get unwelcome phne calls , if we do get the odd one ask for their name and company and then tell them you are with tps and they are so sorry because they can be fined for using your number,because are on a tps list. also we can pay £1 a month to our phone provider and you will not get callers who try to with hold their number. |
