Hi, I'm Jeanie,
As you may have guessed, I am mad about bargains. I am a wife, a mother and now a grandmother to my adorable Ben and gorgeous Annabelle.
I am now retired and when I spend my hard earned money I expect to get the very best value.
I love quality items and generally the good things in life and I have found that I can afford more of them if I get them at bargain prices.
This site was put together on a shoestring (of course) and is run by myself and my family including the very welcome help of my lovely daughter Beckie and my equally lovely friend Jackie who, like me, are both keen bargain hunters. I am very grateful to them for their hard work and dedication. Beckie now writes a weekly article about bargains for the popular magazine Pick Me Up.
Many of the bargains we find can save our readers a lot of money, often 50% or more and we do not charge for this.
In return we do ask, if you wish to make a purchase, that you use the links we provide. We may then make a small commission.
This enables us to continue running Mad About Bargains and continue finding the bigger savings for you.
My constant challenge is to find the best deals out there and hope you like them too.
We had a lot of fun putting this site together and we hope you enjoy it.
***Press & Media***
I have appeared on GMTV and been interviewed on many radio programmes including a regular slot on BBC Radio London talking to Jo Good and Paul Ross. Madaboutbargains and I have also been featured in The Daily Mail, The News of the World, the Financial Times and the Sunday Mirror.
BBC London News asked me to appear on their news item on Christmas shopping filmed at Peter Jones in Sloane Square and if you would like to see what I actually look like (no pink hair I'm afraid) You can see it on You Tube Here
